WHO ARE WE
My Retired Life Foundation (MRLF) is a social venture registered as a Public Charitable Trust aimed to primarily serve senior citizens. The forum is a platform of like-minded senior citizens of networking / meeting / social get-together and learning of relevant issues / skills towards happy and healthy aging.
It also provides all services to senior citizens and is engaged in serving other underprivileged sections of society as well. Founded in 2018, MRLF has emerged as a premier player in the space of new generation senior citizen associations with more than four hundred active members from different parts of the city of Mumbai / Navi Mumbai.
MRLF is supported by the South Indian Education Society (SIES) as its Institutional Social Responsibility (ISR) initiative.

OUR ACTIVITIES
Networking Opportunities
Providing a networking opportunity to senior citizens.
Creative Pursuit & Passion
MRLF has been instrumental in motivating / encouraging several members to pursue
their passion in new areas like singing, dancing, drawing, painting, dramatics, among others and finding a new purpose of life..
Arranging Talks
Arranging talks on different topics of interest for elderly people.
These include wide canvas of subjects spanning health, nutrition, yoga, meditation, new topics like emerging technologies cyber security, astronomy, etc. MRLF has a tie-up with Apollo Hospitals, Navi Mumbai where the senior doctors from the hospital delver talks on various health issues of importance on a regular basis.
Corporate Social Responsibilities
MRLF is actively engaged in several Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) activities. These actives include:
a. Visit to senior homes that need exclusive time spending with senior citizens. MRLF has understanding with specialized old age homes like Aajicare, a dedicated home for Dementia patients. MRLF members visit different centres of Aajicare and spend some time with residents there.
b. Donations (in cash or kind) to senior citizen homes that house old BPL people. MRLF volunteers during last 5 years have contributed to several such needy old age homes: Karuneshwar Old Age Home, New Panvel and Paramshanthidham Vridhsharam, Taloja, Matrusadan, Nerul.
c. In addition, the MRLF is involved in supporting various segments of society that are under-privileged and need support. It has tie-up with entities like Mangalam Charitable Foundation in this connection.
Techno-Savvy
During the pandemic, it was not possible to arrange programs on physical mode.
MRLF made conscious efforts to make its members techno-savvy and successfully conducted large number of programs on varied topics / subjects from April 2020 all on virtual mode (Zoom platform). This has been a phenomenal achievement. Today it is one of the few senior citizen organizations in the country that has four musical programs of one hour duration each, conducted every month. All these programs are recorded and uploaded on a dedicated MRL YouTube channel.
In brief, MRLF is one of the most vibrant new generation senior citizen communities in Mumbai and known for its agility, diversity of activities and enthusiastic members

Chief Trustee
He is a well-known academician in India. He is the Founder and Convener of Higher Education Forum (HEF), the largest community of higher education professionals in India. He is the former Director of SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS), Nerul, Navi Mumbai and former Professor and Director of S P Jain of Management & research (SPJIMR), Mumbai.
Mrs Samatha Sen Gupta
Trustee
A postgraduate in Physics, she had been a banker for more than two decades. She is now actively engaged in pursuing her hobbies including singing and writing / directing skits on behalf on MRLF. She has more than forty skits (including physical as well as virtual) to her credit as of now.
Mr Saurav Das
Trustee
He is a marketer who moved into a career in HR having worked in various colleges as a training & placement officer and later as an executive search consultant helping and guiding young graduates both from Engineering and management colleges in their life journey. Alongside his professional career, he has built a parallel track in purpose-driven and community serving work.
